Overcoming Procrastination Using Hypnosis For Procrastination Help
Hypnosis is a powerful tool for achievement and you can use it to overcome procrastination with self hypnosis.
Procrastination is an act of avoidance. It is a self sabotage behavior that prevents us from fulfilling our wants and desires. On a conscious level, when we think about what it is that we want from our lives, we tell ourselves our goals. We do this in our dreams and in our waking moments of fancy. One of the things that keep us stuck where we are, rather than moving ahead toward the things that we dream about is fear. Fear of the unknown. Fear of what is unfamiliar.
If we are dreaming great visions of how we want our life to be, it's probably pretty fair to say that we aren't currently living that life. So it would certainly be a new experience for us to be there. And it's that very reason, it being a new experience, that keeps us from moving toward our dream. Anything that is new and unfamiliar is scary. It's unfamiliar and requires us to exhibit a leap of faith. We are required to move out of our comfort zone in order to achieve new things.
Self hypnosis can become a great tool to help us move past this state of looking into a better future as being unfamiliar. Self hypnosis is the simple act of guiding yourself into your own hypnotic trance state. And then giving yourself suggestions for change. You can also use that time to more vividly imagine yourself achieving your goal. This is sometimes referred to as mental rehearsal.
With this self hypnosis and mental rehearsal, you can repeatedly envision yourself achieving whatever it is that you want to have. Using this tool becomes even more effective when you add in any of the senses that you would be feeling once you've achieved your success. So it's as if you can note what it sounds like once you have what you want. And you can notice what it tastes like, and looks like, and feels like. The more senses you add into your visualization the more real it becomes.
The more often you do this little mental exercise the more familiar it becomes. And those things that are familiar lose their scariness. They become scenes that we feel comfortable in. So when we start to do the things that we know we need to do in order to attain our goals, there is no longer any of that pressure from the fear holding us back.
