I have recently read some disturbing reports and articles about how food processors have taken a healthy food like soy and created a health problem resulting from the way that it is processed.
These include some of the most common varieties of veggie burger. If it labeled as veggie burger without being labeled organic veggie burger, then it is likely to have been poisoned with hexane, a chemical used in the processing of non organic soy.
The veggie burger that I’ve eaten mostly in the last few years, is thankfully not on the list because it is made without soy. It’s Dr. Praegers California burger. And glad that my favorite Tofurkey foods can remain in my arsenal. But I have also eaten quite a number of the other varieties that I thought were better for me than just eating a pile of rotting flesh. Boy I hate when corporate greed and shelf life takes precedence over health, safety and wellness.
